| Position Responsibilities: |
Our client is nationally recognized for its outstanding engineering, scientific and planning consulting services.
We currently have an opening for a Director of Finance and Accounting at the corporate office located in the Upper Mid-West
Primary Responsibilities:
· Manage workflow between the accounting function and all other related functions (HR, IS, etc)
· Function as Technical Competency Leader for Finance and Accounting Team
· Communicate financial information to non-financial audience using exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· Analyze financial records to forecast future financial positions, budget requirements, and cash projections
· Provide business management and business planning support to all divisions
· Creation of the systems to manage the following areas:
ROI
Capital Management
Billing System (structure and understanding)
Cash Management
· Provide input to and take the lead for quarterly and annual planning processes
· Constructively challenge financial business proposals or decisions in an effort to improve current practices
· Apply understanding of e-business to develop diverse business strategies as it relates to accounting and other finance competencies
· Assist with the integration of new business opportunities into the financial environment/systems
· Strengthen financial reporting systems and operations by seeking and acting on opportunities for improvement
· Develop familiarity with regulatory agencies and their state regulators; demonstrate the ability to apply appropriate regulations to client situations
· Apply understanding of our clients’ business to assist in the preparation of pricing strategies and contracts for our companies or potential future ventures
· Assist CFO/COO with analysis /evaluation of potential business opportunities
· Manage financial and governmental regulatory compliance (FAR, Taxes, GAAP)
· Manage all financial engagements with independent accountants
· Develop and manage an effective financial internal audit program
· Demonstrate the ability to expand the consultative services and role of the Director of F&A. These include, but are not limited to; Managerial reporting, Merger &Acquisition competency development, Owner Management, Finance & Accounting Business Analyst functions on projects, Business Management Support/Consultation, and developing a secure internal audit program.
· Serve as an active mentor for the Finance and Accounting team; play an active role in career planning objectives.

| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors, CPA, prefer Masters as well |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree, Accounting Major desired
· Minimum of 15 years experience in the following:
o GAAP Accounting and General Ledger and e-business
o Government regulations and compliance
o Development of business models (forecasting)
o Application of cost accounting systems (pricing, labor, management, cost management, etc)
o Managerial reporting
o Finance and Accounting Business analyst functions
o Business management support and consultation
o Preparation of pricing strategies and contracts
o Financial and governmental regulatory compliance
· 5 years experience in professional services
